2009 Toyota Sienna LE
Five years ago, the Toyota Sienna was completely redesigned. Since then, we have been praising Sienna as the top choice in its category, taking it for granted, with space and like Lexus in its development. The 2009 Toyota Sienna has not changed compared to last year, but it is still one of the best vans you can buy.
Competition is fierce in this segment, but Sienna prides itself on Toyota's 3.5-liter V6 engine, an all-star all-famous for its smoothness and fuel efficiency. Another feather on Sienna's cap is the fact that it is currently the only small van that offers all-wheel drive, so if you live where snow and ice are common, Sienna has a fixed advantage over its rivals.
In CE and LE trim, the Sienna can accommodate up to eight passengers; The XLE and Limited models offer seven seats, thanks to the captaincy seats on the second list. The limited version is particularly gorgeous, and it wouldn't be that far to call it the Lexus for small vans. The leather attached to the doors, the comfortable seat seats, the JBL sound system and the adaptive cruise control almost made the Toyota logo on the steering wheel look like a mistake.
When it comes to power management, the 2009 Toyota Sienna does not offer a particularly compelling package. Of course, no small van will be purchased with the power of its corner recording capabilities, but Sienna's archnemesis, the Honda Odyssey, is likely to deliver responsive handling and smooth ride. The Kia Sedona / Hyundai Entourage twins are also a good option, especially for those with Toyota's standard price reductions. But overall, the Sienna is an excellent van with many features and compelling options. We wouldn’t have bought another minivan without trying the Sienna first.
