The 2009 Toyota Venza has something "what?" nature in it. This five-passenger car is obviously not a trailer, but not a crossover SUV, either. However, like the RAV4, Highlander, and Lexus RX ahead of it, Toyota has the ability to build desirable car models before the public realizes they really want them. That is called a trendsetter. Well, only time will tell that Venza is already the latest in family relocation, but it seems to be a powerful contender.

In terms of size, Venza comes in the middle of two Toyota-related brands. The same length as the Camry sedan, it shares the width of the Highlander crossover and the ride height and is 5.5 inches taller than the Camry and 4.7 inches shorter than the Highlander. Like those two cars, the Venza offers four and six-cylinder engines. While the V6 option is almost identical between the three of them, Venza shares Highlander's 2.7 liter inline-4 - even though it has fewer horsepower. In terms of interior, the five-passenger Venza offers more space (especially at the waist and shoulders) than Camry but does not have a third Highlander line. Its 70-meter-wide luggage is apparently much larger than its sedan counterpart but much shorter than the Highlander (almost identical to the Ford Edge).

Another outstanding feature of Venza is the interior design and quality. It brings back the latest downward trend shown by Toyota products, with better construction materials and improved durability and finishing. The design of the unique multi-bin center design is different from Venza, as are the high-end console changes and simplified climate control.

The central land established by Venza is designed for Toyota customers who need a car more than Camry's but do not need as much as Highlander. We think this is a way to succeed, and in fact, Venza seems more desirable and fuller than both of their siblings. Also, compared to similar crossover SUVs like the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano, the more intense feeling associated with the Venza-powered car-like center of gravity is much appreciated. Although we are not sure how to describe the 2009 Toyota Venza, we can say this: Very good.
