Despite the popularity of crossover SUVs, the minivan remains the master of family cars. Let's face it: A bovine car is the best way to increase passenger and cargo space within a given foot, and its two rear doors make getting in and out very easy. And to arouse more interest in this category of overwork, there is the redesigned Toyota Sienna 2011.

The new Sienna is about the size of an outgoing version, and as before it can accommodate seven or eight passengers and has all-wheel drive - the special Sienna. But there are many important changes for 2011. Among them is the start of a four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, existing seats with a second-line recliner style, and a new video surveillance system in the rear seat.

Those on a tight budget and looking for a bigger fuel economy may want to look at a new four-cylinder foundation with LE trim. On the other side of the spectrum is the new Sienna SE, which comes with a sporty suspension and style tweaks that include a low slide and a large low grille. Not much has changed for Sienna's basic and lovely character, which means smooth, peaceful, easy handling, comfortable seats, and many aspects of family friendship. And based on its solid record, we think Sienna is likely to provide many miles of low-maintenance and trouble-free care.

However, Sienna has its oldest rival, the 2011 Honda Odyssey, which is fighting for the size of taxis. Previously, Honda had the opportunity to drive the fun with its superior feel of direction and easy handling, making it a choice for driving enthusiasts who need active family wheels. Now, however, Toyota offers Sienna SE to apply for that buyer. Sienna also has a quiet ride and continues to offer the opportunity for all-wheel drive. The latter is a special model of the Toyota Sienna of 2011 and offers more appeal to those living in disadvantaged areas.

Another consideration is the 2011 Kia Sedona full price, which may not offer the same refinement in the room, but has the boldness of solid work with many features slightly below the two. While minivans produced by Chrysler (Grand Caravan, Town & Country, and VW Routan) offer attractive style and features, their problems with the quality of construction and the old basic engine prevent us from boasting. This puts the taxi market as a three-horse race. Toyota is really brand new and has a lot of features it needs, but you will also want to check out the Honda and Kia to find out which is the best van for your needs.
